Mint Chinese combs in original deep pink silk box. Box still retains stickers. Translated says “Combs for royal use, made by Changzhou.” ( A city in Jiangsu a providence in China) The lid slides up but stays attached by silk, to reveal a set of three combs still attached by red string upon a white silk pillow. The three combs are wooden and hand painted. They are women in traditional Chinese dress. Box measures 6 x 8 inches. Combs measure approx 6.5 inches tall and vary in width a few inches. Each are slightly different sizes. The box is vintage silk and cardboard, and has wear consistent with age, but great color and condition for age.
