Stamped on the base , ” A E Williams made in the UK ” They have been making Pewter since 1779. Present family are members of the Worshipful Company of Pewterers, as were their forebears and Freemen of the City of London.
Historically A E Williams have produced traditional domestic Pewterware but they have also produced beautiful pieces for Palaces, Cathedrals, Stately Homes and TV, Film and Theatre Companies including Harry Potter, BBC’s Poldark, Les Miserables and even HBO’s hit series Game of Thrones!……… There are no chips or cracks on the glass inserts .
