Watercolour Attributed to William Mulready

The oak frame is C20th and measures 13 inches tall by 11 inches wide

The visible image measures 5.5 inches by 4 inches

Interior cottage scene , depicting a man sitting with set of small pipes [ under arm operated bagpipes ] with four children and a small terrier dog

Unsigned to the visible part of the watercolour .. but has William Mulready and Wm Mulready .. written on the back and a gallery or auction reference number 813/28 .. wondering if 28 may be the year it was framed [ 1928 ] the frame looks like it could be from around then

William Mulready (1 April 1786 – 7 July 1863) was an Irish genre painter living in London. He is best known for his romanticising depictions of rural scenes, and for creating Mulready stationery letter sheets, issued at the same time as the Penny Black postage stamp.

CONDITION
The frame and watercolour are in good condition .. the cardboard mount under the glass has some minor condition issues .. small stains and marks around the edge where it meets the frame . More just showing signs of its age than unsightly
